Why Packing Decides Your Move

Ask any mover where damage starts. The answer is almost always the box. A plate rubs a plate. A lamp leans on a frame. A heavy box crushes a light one. The truck ride only finishes what a weak box began.

That is why we treat packing as the real first step of your move. Our crew packs the way we load: tight, padded and labeled. When the truck turns a corner on I-85, nothing shifts. When we open the door at your new home, every box goes to the right room.

Packing also takes more time than most people expect. A three-bedroom home often holds 80 to 120 boxes. Packing it yourself can eat two or three full weekends. Our team finishes the same job in one or two days. You keep your evenings, your weekends and your back.

Our packers have worked homes across Gwinnett, Cobb, Fulton and Forsyth counties since 2017. We have packed Midtown condos, Marietta ranch homes and Lake Lanier cabins. Each one taught us something. We fold those lessons into every box we close.

This guide covers what you gain, what we pack, how we price it and how to prepare. It also covers our promise and the best time to book. If you only read one part, read the prep checklist. It saves the most time on packing day.

We offer fragile item packing, full-service packing and simple moving packing help for one or two rooms. Our crew brings packing supplies, so you skip the store run.

01

What You Gain From Pro Packers

Features are what we do. Benefits are what you get. Here is how our packing service changes your move.

You Get Your Time Back

We pack while you work, rest or care for your kids. Most homes are done in a day or two, not three weekends.

Fewer Broken Things

Dish-pack boxes, paper and padding protect glass, china and art. Proper packing prevents most moving damage.

A Faster Moving Day

Packed, labeled and staged boxes load quickly. Shorter loading time means a lower hourly bill.

Easy Unpacking

Every box shows its room and contents. The coffee maker turns up on day one, not day ten.

Less Stress

You stop counting boxes and buying tape. You only point out what matters, and we handle the rest.

One Accountable Team

The crew that packs also loads. Nobody can blame a different company for a crushed carton.

Packing pairs well with our across-town movers. It also fits statewide long hauls, where boxes ride longer and need extra care.

Packing Services We Offer

Every home is different. So we offer several packing options. Pick one, or mix them.

Full-Home Packing

We pack every room, closet and cabinet. You hand us the house and keep a bag of essentials. This option suits busy families, job relocations and anyone on a tight deadline.

Partial Packing

You pack the easy rooms. We pack the hard ones. Kitchens, china cabinets, art and garages are the most common requests. Partial packing cuts your cost and still protects your fragile items.

Fragile And Specialty Packing

Mirrors, framed art, lamps, TVs and glass tabletops get special handling. We use dish-pack cartons with dividers, bubble wrap and corner guards. Large art and mirrors get mirror cartons or custom padding.

Kitchen Packing

The kitchen is the slowest room to pack. It holds hundreds of small, breakable items. We wrap each plate and glass and pack them on edge. Plates on edge survive bumps far better than flat stacks.

Last-Minute Packing

Your closing date moved up? Your lease ended early? Call us. We add packers to the crew so the job fits your new timeline, when our schedule allows.

Packing For Storage

Boxes headed to storage between homes need a different plan. We use uniform carton sizes that stack well. We also label every box on two sides, so you can read it in a storage row.

Need help on the other end too? Our box unpacking service opens the boxes, places items and removes the paper.

03

How We Pack Each Room

Each room has its own risks. Our crew follows a simple method for each one.

  • Kitchen: Plates go on edge in dish-packs. Glasses get cell dividers. Knives get wrapped and marked.
  • Living room: Lamps are taken apart. Shades ride in their own box. Books go in small boxes so they stay liftable.
  • Bedrooms: Clothes stay on hangers in wardrobe boxes. Drawers get emptied, so dressers stay light and safe.
  • Bathrooms: Liquids are sealed and bagged. Medications stay with you, never in a box.
  • Home office: Cables get bagged and labeled with their device. Monitors ride in padded, snug cartons.
  • Garage: Tools go in small, strong boxes. We cannot move fuel, paint or propane, so plan to dispose of them.

We label every box with its room and a short contents list. Fragile boxes get a clear mark on two sides. This simple habit speeds up both loading and unpacking.

Packing Materials We Use

Good materials matter as much as good hands. Grocery boxes collapse. Newspaper smudges. We bring supplies built for moving.

  • Small cartons for books, tools and canned goods
  • Medium cartons for kitchen items, toys and decor
  • Large cartons for linens, pillows and lampshades
  • Double-wall dish-pack cartons for glass and china
  • Wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes
  • Clean packing paper, bubble wrap, tape and labels

Tape and shrink wrap are free on every job. Cartons and specialty boxes appear on your estimate before we start. You never see a surprise supply charge later.

Want to recycle your boxes after the move? Many Georgia counties accept clean, flattened cardboard. Check your local rules on the Georgia Environmental Protection Division site or your county page.

05

What Packing Costs In Georgia

Packing cost depends on three things: hours, crew size and materials. We share all three before you book.

  • Home size: More rooms mean more boxes and more hours.
  • Fragile load: China, glass and art take longer to wrap well.
  • Scope: Partial packing costs less than a full home.
  • Materials: Cartons and dish-packs are listed line by line.
  • Timeline: A tight deadline may need a larger crew.

Here is a rough guide. A one-bedroom apartment often takes a few hours. A three-bedroom house often takes a full day. A large home with heavy collections may take two days. Your free estimate gives you real numbers, not guesses.

DIY Packing Vs Hiring Packers

Some people pack everything themselves. Others hire us for the whole home. Most land in the middle. Here is an honest look at both sides.

When DIY Packing Makes Sense

DIY works well for small moves with few fragile items. A studio with books, clothes and linens is easy to pack yourself. It also works when you have weeks of lead time and a flexible schedule. You save labor cost and work at your own pace.

When Pro Packing Pays Off

Hire packers when time is short or the stakes are high. Kitchens, china, art and electronics break easily in amateur boxes. A broken heirloom costs more than a packing crew. Busy parents and working couples also gain the most. They trade a few hours of labor cost for whole weekends back.

The Smart Middle Ground

Many of our customers pack clothes, books and linens themselves. Then they book us for the kitchen and fragile rooms. This split keeps your bill lower and still protects what matters most. Tell us which rooms you want packed, and we price only those rooms.

Want to pack fragile items yourself? Start with our guide to packing fragile items safely. It covers plates, glasses, mirrors and TVs step by step.

07

How To Prepare For Packers

A little prep saves hours on packing day. Follow these steps in the week before we arrive.

  1. Sort and donate what you will not move. Fewer items mean fewer boxes and a lower bill.
  2. Set aside an "open first" box with chargers, soap, towels, snacks and medications.
  3. Keep cash, jewelry, passports and documents with you. Never pack them.
  4. Empty the fridge and freezer two days ahead. Wipe and dry them.
  5. Tell us about heirlooms and art, so we bring the right cartons.
  6. Mark rooms or items that stay behind with painter's tape.
  7. Plan parking near the door. A short walk saves real time.

Packing Dates Vanish Early

A packing job ties up a crew for a full day, sometimes two. Those crew days sell out before regular moving slots.

  • Summer weekends go first across Gwinnett and Cobb.
  • Lease turnover days at month-end fill early.
  • Two-day packs for large homes need the most notice.

Lock your packers in three weeks ahead, or five in July. A $75 hold secures the day, and $70 of it comes off your final bill.
